Unity in the Body of Christ!
It was the year 2006 on the month of February when a crowd of Bishops, Pastors and Christian leaders gathered in Cuneta Astrodome for a “Times of Refreshing Conference.” It was well attended by large Christian Groups and denomination with their respective leaders. It was the part of the program when Bishop Boy Ramos was the speaker and he’s delivering about the topic “Don’t Entertain Any Accusation About People in Politics” that he made an altar call and prompting the pastors and leaders to flock towards the front to be prayed for.
As Bishop Boy Ramos was waiting for those who are coming forward and calling on to the bishops to minister to the pastors. Pastora Methusela is busy motioning to the bishops to go and minister by laying their hands to the people. Bishop Rey Santillana understood the motion but an audible voice bothered him, he heard it very clearly “YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO MINISTER BECAUSE YOU LEADERS ARE THE ONE WHO MAKE DIVISIONS, INSTEAD ASK THE PEOPLE TO PRAY FOR YOU”. He can’t move and his feet was tucked where he was standing. The voice keep on repeating until he told Pastora Methusela about what he heard and she in turn relayed it to Bishop Boy.
The Bishops were called up stage and Bishop Boy asked the congregation to pray for them instead of the Bishops praying for them. That was a Holy Spirit led ministry and was a relief specially when Bishop Rey learned that he was not the only one who experienced hearing that audible voice. Bishops Jovie Galaraga, Rolly Blas, Romy Corpus, to name a few have heard the same.
After that event there was an atmosphere of peace and unity amongst the Christian leaders and Bishops Jovie suggested that a “kapehan” fellowship be conducted on a regular basis. That gave way to conducting another conference in Baguio and was moved to formalize the organization thus giving birth to CBMAP. Later that year in November, the CBMAC (Christian Bishops & Ministers Association of California, USA) was formed.
